Pre-Nursery : The emphasis is on skill development. There is no formal assessment.
Classes Nursery to UKG
There is no formal examination. However, the teacher closely monitors and observes the development and growth of the child during the course of the session and the reports of the student are based on these observations.
Classes I to V
Assessment in Classes I – V is an on going process that fosters understanding rather than simply evaluating it. It is based on teacher's observation, class-room tasks, students' interactions and class assignments.
Class VI to X
Evaluation is continuous and spread out evenly over the entire academic session.
An academic year has been divided into two terms. The first term will be from April - September and the second term will be from October – March. Each term will have two Formative Assessments and one Summative Assessment for evaluation of scholastic areas. The weightage of Formative Assessment (FA) will be 40% and for Summative Assessment (SA) will be 60%.
In addition to the scholastic areas, co-scholastic areas like life skills, attitudes & values, participation & Achievement in activities involving literacy & creative skills, scientific skills, aesthetic skills and performing arts & clubs, and health & physical education will also be evaluated.
It is mandatory for students to be evaluated in all formative & summative assessments.
Evaluation is continuous and spread out evenly over the entire academic session. There is a formal Half Yearly Examination at the end of the first term and a Final Examination at the end of the year.
